About FlashWhip

FlashWhip is a site dedicated to finding free tricks, tips, and software tools that will make life easier for Adobe Flash Designers and Programmers. Why? Well, if you’re like me, you’ve probably noticed that the Internet is loaded with brilliant people who are nice enough to share insights and ideas and even free software to help make your life easier. You needn’t look any further than the free web-browser you’re currently using to surf the Internet with. Well, after a solid decade of receiving a lot of great input, help, and tools, I kinda figure it’s my turn to give back.

That, and the fact that I think I’m kinda obsessive compulsive. I was part-owner at a Flash design firm for several years, and I could never stop thinking about ways to streamline the company. And I worked with a pretty neat team of Flash designers and developers. But what drove me nuts was that inspite of the fact that I could see ways to organize it better, everyone was pushed up against so many tight deadlines that we could never get to the stuff that would make us more efficient.

So I left. And I’ve taken some time off to study business development techniques (with the occassional Flash freelancer work in-between). And though I have more down-time than before, I can’t stop thinking about ways to make life easier for Flash geeks. Thus, a blog.

As I develop the content and ideas on this site, I hope you get some great use out of it. If you’ve got any thoughts, questions, or feedback I’d love to hear from you!
